29,301+ Volunteer Hours Logged – Help us reach a milestone!

Since Helene, nearly 30,000 hours of volunteer labor have gone into rebuilding our town. That’s over 29,301 hours of hauling debris, restoring homes, preparing meals, clearing brush, and showing up — time and time again — for neighbors in need.

These numbers, compiled by the Town’s Disaster Recovery Coordinator, represent an incredible collective effort. But they don’t tell the whole story.

We know that many people helped quietly, without logging their hours — showing up without recognition, just to lend a hand. To those silent supporters: thank you. You are just as much a part of this recovery as anyone else, and your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Your time has rebuilt more than structures. It’s restored a sense of hope, strength, and community.

As we stand just shy of that 30,000-hour milestone, we invite you to help us cross it together.

There are still plenty of ways to lend a hand, and every bit helps.
