How we found this figure
Police
The storm dealt a devastating blow to our police department, severely damaging the building and leaving our officers without a station. Floodwaters also destroyed crucial equipment, including radios and safety gear.
Fire
Even before the floodwaters arrived, our volunteer firefighters were on the front lines, protecting our community. In the weeks after the storm, their vehicles and equipment endured heavy wear and tear from extraordinary circumstances.
Making a plan
We are actively collaborating with representatives from the Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Hot Springs Police Department to assess their needs and how we can better prepare them for the future. Initial discussions have revealed a $35,000 budget shortfall. As we continue to evaluate their requirements in greater detail, we will update this page with our findings.

Helping those who help us
Why your support matters
For first responders and police officers, their work is more than just a duty—it’s a commitment to protecting and serving their community, especially in times of crisis. When disaster strikes, these individuals are often the first on the scene, risking their own safety to help others. But the storm’s aftermath doesn’t spare them from hardship. Many volunteer firefighters and officers face personal losses, damaged homes, and overwhelming challenges while still answering the call to serve.
Our funding helps ease this burden, providing the resources they need to recover and continue their vital work, ensuring they can focus on rebuilding their community without carrying the weight of their own struggles alone.Â
Making a real difference
A community effort
Our funding wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of donors and volunteers who believe in rebuilding Hot Springs together. Whether through financial contributions, materials, or hands-on labor, our community has stepped up to ensure that no one is left behind in the recovery process.
If you’d like to support our mission, consider making a donation or volunteering with RHSA. Every dollar brings us one step closer to rebuilding our town—stronger and more resilient than before.
